cx-freeze software package provides create standalone executables from Python scripts, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cx-freeze
cx-freeze is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cx-freeze package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cx-freeze *
You will get with cx-freeze package name, version, architecture and description in a table
